128i vs 135i oem muffler

I was looking at some axle backs for the 135 (couldnt find any for the 128) and was wondering if they would also suit the 128 with minimal modifications? As the stock muffler setups for both models looks almost identical at the rear end past the resonator

Yeah, you can definitely run a 135i axle back on the 128i. I've run both the N54 135i stock axleback and now running a Dinan 135i axleback.

The N54 was a subtle improvement in sound, N55 version is supposed to be slightly more aggressive. The Dinan is a well controlled louder, and I really enjoy it.

The inlet tube side on the 135i is slightly larger than the 128i. I was able to use an exhaust band clamp and slip the 128 pipe inside the 135's and then tighten it up.

I run an n55 135i muffler, got a shop to weld it on.
