im pretty damn sure the 135i is limited too 150 and the 128 to 130, the only thing that changes is the 128i when you add the sports package, they raise the limiter too 150, the 135i stays at 150 whether it has a sports package or not.

the brochure is shows 130 for the 128i and 150 for the 135i, it then tells you in the corner that the 130 limiter will be increased to 150 if you get the sports package but since the 135i is already advertised for 150 stock without the sports package means that it's only for the 128i, the 135i already comes with tires that are suitable for the 150 the 128 isn't, i'm also going off of every test drive i've seen and info i have heard and everyone stattes the limiter is at 150 for 135i this is the fisrt time i have even heard of a lower limiter.

the tire on the 128i are all season tires and the 135i tires are performance tires that's why from factory the speed limiter is different, the 135i IS able to reach 150 from the factory without the sports package.......... this info is also on the same brochure about 2 pages up.

it's the same brochure that you are reffering to, there is more than one page, the top speed of 130 is ONLY FOR THE 128I! the 135i is limited to 150..... it even say's "all season tires limited to 130" THE 135I HAS PERFORMANCE TIRES NOT ALL SEASON TIRES THEREFORE THE LIMITER IS SET TOO 150 WITH OR WITHOUT THE SPORTS PACKAGE. does anyone know if the tires are changed on the sports package for the 128i?

has it been confirmed whether or not the oil cooler has anything to do with the sport pkg? Is it or is it not already included with the car?

call some vendors,
Call Sparco and check their prices for a real seat without heat and without leather. On vortex, R steering wheels are selling for 3 bills with the airbag. [I'm getting one for my bug]
I think the sports package is worth it big time, nav not so much. /rl |

Thats because of the all season tires, if you get the all seasons from the factory you get the 130mph limit.

For a fatty like me, the sport package seems like a waste. I don't want the skinnier seats, the wheel I'd probably go another direction with anyway (hoping that the M roadster's thick wheel works), and seating, I'd either stick with stock or go Recaro down the line like I did with my Benz (cloth or even better cloth/alcantara would be a great option - BMW should not assume that US buyers don't want cloth still). And $1k just for the shadowline trim, which I do like much better, is just too much. I have to assume that by now the oil cooler is std for all 135s by now. If not, BMW should be ashamed. |

if the sport seats have harness cutouts, that would indeed be worth $1k!
