Lol, I do love that car. IMO, about the best interior out there.

Doubt it. I went to a lambo meet and all the girls there were old or plain. Like your average girl.

Yeah on the suspension being stiff I will confirm that. Flying down the autobahn @ 200 kph you could feel the stiffness when you hit imperfections in the road that i don't feel in my 328i. I prefer this more raw feel. Not to mention the engine noise in the cabin, it really makes you feel like you're in a GT race car or something.

Test drove the 135i

I test drove a 335i with automatic and the 135i 6 speed manual. The 335i did seem faster because you just stomp on the gas pedal and off she went, where the 6speed, I had to get use to shifting it at different rpms. I believe once you had time with the 6 speed transmission, you could duplicate/beat the 335i. I would like to have driven the 135i with automatic to compare the two. The dealership here was invited down to BMW Welt for the weekend and drove all the models. They were impressed with the 135i and the M3/M5 models. they said the 135i has better stability in turns and on the road as compared to the 335i

+100 sweet!

I wanted the same feeling that I had when I drove a 350z.

I also test drove the 335i with automatic tranny. I must say that there is a slight delay from when you stand on the pedal to when the car reacts, but when it reacts it certainly does so with plenty of gusto. I do not like that moment of inactivity from standing on the pedal to actually moving and is the main reason I am going manual again. My current car is automatic (my first) and I really do not like that feeling - it almost feels like the message to the engine room gets diverted to a control room first before being passed onto the engine. It feels like I am a just sitting in the car and merely steering rather than actually driving it. I spend 90% of the time using the steptronic just to get some interaction with the car.

Did the car itself feel like a smaller car, more nimble car while driving it?

We are also talking about a brand new car that isn't even broken in. ...and wet and icy? Not the conditions for this kind of testing.

Definitely, it reminds me allot of my e46 coupe in size and handling just better of course. It is very nimble and I can't wait to get mine out on the ring!

True not "ideal" conditions but I was still able to push this thing enough to be convinced of its capabilities and try out the stability control.

MOTO69JOE,

Does the car have Summer tires on it? (5 degrees = bad traction)

Wow. We get summer run flats as standard with the 135i and the sport package on the 128i coupe; usually Bridgestone RE050A Runflats. You get all seasons? That stinks!!

Awesome. That sounds like it's going to be great. I liked that part about my old srt-4, it was rough, but too rough. The 1 sounds like a good balance. I know how the torque is going to feel. The mitsu turbos are great. I can't wait.

Funny I read some study that said porsche owners get laid about half as much as bimmer drivers. Take that Maserati.
