Exterior color is nice but the Coral interior? Blech. Just not my thing.

Only interested me because it hides dead hooker blood incredibly well on both the exterior and interior. Wish the carpeting and trunk lining were also red.

Heck, at the right price...wonder how much a good wrap job is. Wrap it in white, done!

Speaking of trunk-liners. Guess what I received for xmas from my wife? It's surprising well-made and fits perfectly and still gives easy access to the battery compartment. I'm really pleased with it.

As a former ZHP owner this is exactly what attracted me to the 135is. I tend to lean towards the is > ZHP due to the is only being offered as a 2013 vs ZHP being offered during 2003-2006.

Is it wrong that I actually don't want people to know about these cars? I kinda like that most normal people don't even know what the hell a 135 is, let alone a 135is. So, I like that it's our little secret rocket ship of a car. Someone at work asked me yesterday, "hey, how much power does your car have?" His eyes nearly popped out of his head when I said, 320..."320 in that little thing?!"

I also don't get how people think the 4 is great looking and the 1 is ugly. The 2 doesn't do much for me either, but I'll go look at one and take it for a spin when they come out in a few months as it'll coincide with my next oil change.

Exactly. I love the ZHP and miss mine terribly. Most certainly not an m3 equivalent but so awesome in its own right. And not because there were objective power numbers or major tweaks, but because the sum of the parts was a great product. Little things like red tach needles, perfection of the m tech 2 body kit and a more peaky torque curve were so great. Then the amazing cloth/alcantara interior... Don't get me started.

So I see the 135is as similar, but in all honesty, as a package I don't think it's even close to the ZHP.

Interesting that there are several former ZHP owners here. I shant chime in and offer an opinion as I never knew what it was until only recently. I just consider our car a special lil kinda halfway between a 135 and 1M. Has nice lil details that make it unique. Would have been even better if we got the darn special gauges though like the 335is. That would have made me quite happy.

Now if only we had cargo nets on the right. Perhaps I'll get someone with a 3D printer to make a lil plastic bin to that weird trapezoidal shape with a 3" lip or so.

Welcome! I'm from the Seattle area myself… north end that is. I agree our cars are generally under appreciated for what they are… and that's fine with me!

Very nice! I may just spring for a carpeted one like yours instead of a sticky rubbery job that I've been researching. Now that I'm trying to get salt out of the crevices of my hexagonal all weather mats from BavAuto, I'm realized that carpet may be on of the easier things to clean.

For those of you not dealing with salt, here she is at the blue box store (frozen pipes at the house…), covered in salt. Yes, all of the white stuff on the ground around the car is salt, not ice or snow. I don't see how any living organism that interacts with ground runoff water can possibly survive in this part of the country. On a side note, this car is begging for blacklines! If Greg will drop ship them to my house, I'll have them installed and post the photos!

I'm sticking with my cheapo BMW one for $60 as it's a lil dinky and floppy around the edges, but gets the job done and easy to clean.

Wow, I had no idea that's what it looks like with all that salt. Now if only a truck would come by with warm pretzels! Mmm. Your car almost looks dark blue to me in that picture.

Someone posted pics of their space gray with blacklines installed today and it upset me and so fine, I'll order a set and maybe I'll send you one of the lights to install and test out. How bout that? Hahaha. Or I'll send them to you and you can put them in, see what you think, and if you keep them, pay me back...with usury interest rates applied of course. O=)

Wow, you two are definitely getting good use out of your cars.

Is the lil warning light on both your cars from the snowflake warning about ice? Just curious.

first we get a snowflake....AND I get a TPMS warning because I have no sensors on my snow tires. That warning is probably for the TPMS!

Wow, I'm so jealous. Glad you are both enjoying the heck out of those beasts.

I'm not even going to tell you how few miles I've got on mine in 8 months. I'm taking the bullet train these days, so any miles are weekends only. I need to plan another awesome trip down Highway 1 along the Pacific to tack on some miles!

First Step on the Road to Recovery

Well, I just got a box of fancy new cleaning/detailing products today from Detailer's Domain. And aside from clearly not being able to gauge volume very well seeing how gigantic this 32 ounce bottle of tire dressing is, when you combine this with what I decided to do with my microfiber towels last week...I think it's clear...

If I've learned one thing from watching Dr. Phil, it's that they say that the first step on the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem. As you can plainly see...I think I have a problem.

Houston, we have a problem.... You're scaring us, Greg.

I thought at first glance those were bottles of your favorite alcoholic beverages, and you were referring to that type of road to recovery.

But to "cut through it all," I think you really need more microfiber towels and you need to get them organized. And Costco brands its own microfiber towels? Such a deal!

All I know is I think I have enough tire dressing for 30 years that bottle is gigantic! It's like 2/3 the size of a gallon thing of water. Maybe I'll start doing all my neighbors' tires in my garage or random people's in my parking lot at work.

And actually, the costco microfiber towels aren't that bad. They've redone them recently and are of much higher quality and you get 35 of them for around $12 or $13. If I bought 20-30 fancy ones, it'd be really expensive. Plus, they're kirkland SIGNATURE, designating only the highest quality of chinese products I assume.

In the bag by the way is one fancy $5 glass cleaning microfiber towel and an adam's hex grip tire dressing applicator which was pricey, but gosh darn it, I'm worth it. And I needed to get to $50 to get free shipping. O=)

But yes, I think my OCD is clearly getting worse and worse.
