BMW Perf Rear Lip Spoiler cracked - Can it be fixed?
Just got an awesome deal on a genuine BMW Performance carbon fiber rear lip spoiler, but when it arrived it was cracked (It literally looks like UPS ran over the box with a forklift or stepped on it multiple times). Either way I have filed a claim, but I want to know if you think this is fixable? Can a body shop grind down the clear gel coat, then re-apply? Or is it a lost cause? I guess I can always sell it to someone who wants to paint it, or at least paint the top of it. Here are some pics:

as long as the cracks are in the clear coat you shouldn't have too much trouble with it. looks like it can be fixed but can't really say for sure. as long as fibers aren't touched you're good

Cool, thanks for the replies Monster and Webb... I guess I will take the time to go to a bodyshop and get a quote. I'm not sure how to tell if it's down to the fiber or not.. here are closer pics
