135i now gone, thanks for the good times fellas!

For those that don't already know, I've purchased a Lotus Elise sports racer special edition in the UK and its currently on the boat heading to Australia. This means I will need to sell the 135i in the next month or so. Here is a quick pic for anyone curious!

I pre-ordered this car without even a test drive and it was one of the first into the country. I was impressed with it when I got it but after a few choice enhancements the car has been transformed from a good car to a great one.

The car is a 6 spd manual and currently has 18xxxkm on it.

Here is a list of the extras on the car:

- sunroof
- BMW professional hifi
- BMW floor mats
- Ozi cozi stoneguard protection
- Clicon phone mount
- BMW Performance black kidney grills (originals included)

Here is a list of the enhancements on the car:

-> Quaife lsd
I was the first on in Australia to have one of these on the car and still the best thing I've ever done to the car.

-> Oz Racing Ultraleggera 18 inch wheels in black
The rims are extremely light weight (only 8.5kg), saving ~3.5kg per wheel compared to the heavy BMW rims. Not only do they look great but the light weight improves acceleration, braking and handling. Original BMW wheels included in sale.

-> Toyo R888 235/40/18 tyres x 4
These tyres have amazing grip and by having the same sized tyre all round the understeer characteristic of the standard car is eliminated.

-> KW Clubsport suspension
The best suspension you can buy from the experts in Europe. Allows for adjustment to ride height, bump and rebound. Adjustable strut tops allow fine tuning of camber and castor. Fully setup and corner weighted by the KW distributor. This suspension gives incredible road holding whilst maintaining comfort, amazing! Original suspension included in sale.

-> Braided brake lines (adr approved) & Brembo LCF600 fluid
Improves brake pedal feel immensely.

I have really enjoyed this car and will be sad to see it go. A great opportunity to purchase a unique car for similar money to a standard vehicle.

For everything above I will sell it for $72,890.

I'll see how I go selling the car complete before I put it back to standard and sell the parts separately. Send me a PM if you have any interest in the parts and I will get in touch with you if I decide to go that way.

Thanks, Jeff.

Nice car bud - good luck with the sale!

I assume the Elise won't be here for a while?

You coming out on the 10th March to watch a few Lotii on the track...?

Hope so!

PM me with an offer if you are serious. Wheels are the one thing that is really easy to take off.

It would be nice but there isn't much point having this car when I've got the Lotus. If I get another daily down the road it will be a four door! Putting a baby into the back seat of a two door is horrible!

No way man! Love it to bits. I guess I should have said "If you looking for a hot four-door look no further than an E90 M3!"

Haha a friend of mine and a former forum member has has gone back to a M3 after selling his E90 M3 and picked up a TT-RS. That lasted less than 2 months. He picked up a M3 Edition off the showroom instead. Those M3s sure are good to make someone feel that the TT RS (tuned) is not up to scratch!!!

That sounds like a rather expensive lesson!

I've done that myself too and I like to think of it as cost of experiencing other products and making myself more worldly! Yeah it's an expensive exercise (especially when they are new cars!) but at least we can say we've owned xyz cars. Haha.

Well see you then! I'll be tracking... albeit with standard road going tyres

And if for some reason someone wants the rims with road tyres, I'd be keen to maybe buy the semis for my stocko rims.

Yeah that one is definitely a mistake. A very expensive one. Porsches all the way from now on. Promise! (although there could be a Ferrari or Lambo somewhere in the future still - more lessons to be learned yet )

So I took a deposit on it yesterday and the car should be gone in the next couple of weeks.

I have the following available which is now surplus to requirements:

- fire extinguisher mounts (black) for driver and passenger to mount a 1kg extinguisher under each seat at the front. You will need replacement fire extinguishers as mine are now out of date. $50 for the pair.

- Willans 4 point harness (black) and mounting plates with eyebolts. This is a great solution without having to drill / weld anything on the car. $300

- Procede V4 with canbus etc etc. $900

New owner just drove off, hope he enjoys the car - we plan to do some track days together in the future.

I still have the stuff for sale in the post above if anyone is interested.

Anyway guys, it was fun while it lasted. A pic below of some nice memories doing the Dutton Rally with my Dad along to help out. Jeff
