That depends on what muffler you use and what you consider 'loud'. If the exhaust has a resonator and an actual muffler at the end, it might not be too bad. Lots of examples on YouTube.

Mine occasionally does this on a completely 100% stock exhaust...but then again, N55 sounds more aggressive stock.

Check out MadDad Whisper, Magnaflow, BMW Performance Exhaust as examples of mufflers that aren't loud but sound great. All are axle back with the exception of the BMW PE that removes the resonator. Also remember that your car has 4 Cats - 2 in the mid-pipes and two in the downpipes. Removing the mid-pipe Cats will make the car a little louder and add some HP.

I would go with cat-less downpipes and a cat-back with stock mp if your really concerned.

Take a look and see what you like, http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/e...rfp3df72l71pb0

Hey! Just a few questions...

I'm looking into getting the whole cp-e catless dp and full exhaust without restrictions like no cats at all... I want loud lol~ but really cannot justify anything from just watching youtube videos...

i really hope the exhaust actually sounds 100x better and louder in person than compared to the youtube videos or else that would be very disappointing!

For those that have the full cp-e setup, can you tell a big difference between having the stealth pipe and not having it?

I will be getting the stealth pipe as well... not to cancel sound but just for the 3rd hanger, however i'm afraid it will lessen the sound too much...

Please advise! Thanks~

I can only imagine how loud a full catless downpipe back exhaust would be. I only have the AA axel back exhaust and I turn heads every time I go WOT, especially in 1st and 2nd.
