JB3 question
If i got a jb3 for my 2010 AT 135i, on stock parts how much performance gain would i be looking at receiving? Will have to get a tune to make it push more, or will it give the "additional 80hp and 80tq to the wheels on an otherwise stock car on pump gas" when i install it?
and if i take the car to the dealer, will i have to uninstall the JB before hand? thanks *sorry for the noobie question :P * |

I usually recommend you remove if you are going for warranty work leave it in for routine maintenance (set to map0) of course if you are paranoid about warranty, etc. its best to just remove all the time. With the new BMS Can Tool you have a ver affordable code management option. Mike |

The JB3 is a tune...so you just plug it in and it does everything for you. The 80hp/80tq advertised is supposed to be on an otherwise stock car on 91 octane. The gains are MUCH higher than that if you use race gas, meth, supporting mods or any combination thereof.

On an otherwise stock car and map 7 (with just drop-in filter & 93 octane) I have been reliably informed that a few in the UK have dynoed over 360 whp (~425-430 HP). That's assuming your N54? Definately remove jb3 before any dealer visits. Do you have the BT cable? Mad. |
