Oh man those are niiiiice. So you are running 235/40 and 265/35 tires? At what width do you go from 35 to 30 aspect ratio in the back? I am rethinking my 18" CSL purchase.

Saw the car last night in person, seems he may have found the perfect offset. There is no rub marks on the rear at all. The front has a tiny tiny bit on the left front outer wall. But its not hitting the fender anymore. I saw it and still dont believe it!
Those tires/wheels fit the 1 perfect, such a better look than the CSLs that stuck outside the fenders.

the oem wheel is 7.5 et49, so going to a 8.5 et46 will cause a 16mm discrepancy on wheels alone. the tires are 215/40 to a 235/35 is almost a 2.755% change in diameter, but there is also an additional 5-8mm width depending on tire brand. I'm running 12mm spacers up front right now with the OEMs, and that's about as good as you can go..perhaps 15mm max. When tracking, the tires will hit the fenders on hard cornering, so with a 235/35 and that offset, it will hit. Still, I think it will do well. I think a 225/35 tire in that situation is better, but 8.5's it may be a bit tough.

Ok, we all agree the car looks fantastic with this wheel/tire/coilover combo. Is this a realistic setup for those of us who don't live in CA and have crap streets with potholes. Will the ride break your fillings out?

The only reason it was rubbing up front was because I had 4 people in my car.
Just everyday driving it doesnt rub on anything, but when you pile in 4 grown men in your car its going to rub.

Umm we live in Salt Lake City Utah. There are two seasons here, winter and road construction. Every year the snow plows make hell of our roads and we get to deal with it all summer... These are not smooth roads. Its rough, but worth it. The Mcoupe makes my head hurt sometimes the roads are so bad..

Keep in mind that I believe Jeff's suspension was/is? modded so there might stil be a question as to whether the same tire set up would rub more on stock suspension. Let's hope we can get a definitive answer on that.

Great looking setup Silverbullet! Maybe I missed it somewhere but can you tell us all plz? (offsets, tire model, how much lowered). Even just a tire model change can make 5mm or so difference. Thx!

Can someone tell what tires he is running from the closeup pic? I just ordered these wheels and am debating about the 235/265 or a more conservative 225/255 tire combo. I know some tire brands run wider than others.
