Squealing sound when excelerating

Just wondered if anyone had a noise that resembles a loose belt when excelerating at a constant speed - not quite as loud as a loose belt but has that twirping sound like a bird stuck in the dam engine bay LOL

Check and make sure you are not driving a bird... :P

Have a look and see if it is out from the fan belt...

i would try but havent had opportunity to have someone press excelerator and me listen to where the sound is coming from exactly within the engine bay - i also just confirmed that it happens when i do a cold start where it momentarily sounds and then dies off - only when i drive & between 1500-2500rpm i hear it...starting to seem like a belt of some sort.

Is there smoke coming from the rear tyres when you hear the noise?

Failing that, I'd say maybe a loose belt.

1. Throttle body - the opening of the throttle might not be completely straight, causing a whistling sound through your intake
2. Check under your car for: little children, a bird, Elmo.

I've never excelerated before, but you can take one of your dealer's mechanics for a test drive and they should be able to help you.

I dont think its when im building boost because i heard it when i started the car up from cold and then it dissapeared. The sound then comes back when i accelerate in drive and not in idle or in neutral

Oh no. Doesn't sound good. Let us know the results after taking it to the service centre.

So I am Back on the Internet Super Highway after BS internet connectivity issues i had for a week or so...

** UPDATE ** took my baby to the workshop for that noise and it turns out that i had a loose waste gate causing this...So it was aparantly some adjustment that needed to be made and could explain alot to do with some loss of power. I got car back and it seems like that noise had dissappeared but i still have a very faint noise when the engine is cold and will keep my ear on it to see if i am infact losing my mind or i am experiencing an issue still. Power seems ok but it feels like i got Turbo Lag in Auto Mode more than i felt before - I know we get used to the power of these lil beasts but i guess we also become very tuned how our car behaves. Waiting for nice cool oxygen rich day to really test it...Sports Mode seems to be behaving normal.

BrokenVert --> I am not sure about our "Lemon" laws here but i am investigating it - the issues I have had in 9 months of purchase seem high but i think they are very much still in learning phase with 135's and what they may or may not encounter when it comes to mechanical/electrical failures...still leaves me somewhat mad about the amount of time and money spent going to n from the dealership.
