PCV/Valve cover done, now water pump runs randomly

Hi All,

I have a 2012 135i, DCT, fbo/mhd tune

I recently had a local indy shop i trust do my valve cover due to a failing pcv.

Pretty much immediately afterwards the water pump started running very randomly when the car is off. It does not happen with any consistency but its drained my battery on at least one occasion.

The shop is baffled and given the nature of the issue, in that its very hard to reproduce, a diagnosis has been elusive.

Has anyone got any idea where to start on this?
