Going to the Ring this weekend

Me and my buddy Josh are going up to Ramstein friday night and hitting the Ring saturday since both tracks will be open that day. Anyone that wants to go is welcome to just let me know. Also there are 8 M3's from the Graf area going and I'm sure plenty more from other parts of Germany. Should be an awesome weekend!!

Well... I am off on Sunday... but I did not think you guys would be running on Sunday. ??? I really thought I would have been back to the Ring sooner. I can't believe I only went twice this year.

I wouldn't waste my money on the GP track. By what they charge at the GP track for a 15-20 minute session, you can do 3 15-20 minute sessions at Hockenheim.

Nick - When the GP track is open do a lot of people go over there? Hopefully opening up the ring a little bit?

Don't they sometimes let you drive both? Like in that TT-RS vs 1M video in another thread(today)... In order to drive the North loop of the 'Ring... you first drive the Grand Prix circiut and then drive onto the (old) North 'Ring circiut.

they do sometimes open it so you can do the whole circut but the last time I was there and they had the GP course it was not open to the north ring circut. it was either or.

Very true. But they did it during Feb-Mar this year. Not really an ideal time to go on the track. Specially with winter tires. The only way I would go on the GP circuit would be if it's mated to the Nordschleife on a Touristenfahren day.

But I would not pay the 38 Euros to get on the GP course to run it. Hockenheim is way cheaper(12 Euros a session).

I doubt I will be getting on the GP then. I will just hope that when the GP opens that some of the traffic on the Ring clears out. 73 degrees and sunny.... I can't resist going!!
