Due to a system crash, I need to rebuild the virtual machine on my Mac in which I code my MY12 F30.

I have E-Sys 3.23.4, a valid token and PSdZData 50.4, which worked fine the last time I coded my car -- and the dealer hasn't updated anything (yet).

Before I take the time to rebuild everything (install XP in a VM, etc.), I wonder if anyone would recommend an updated E-Sys and/or PSdZData level.

I kinda don't think it makes any difference, but wanted to ask the gurus.

Appreciate the input.

There is no point in updating anything unless car has newer than 50.4.

On a 2014 F31, Sport Line with Navigation, I have set this to "popup_and_config" and am now seeing the menu. However, when I try to select anything other than the default "Drivetrain and Chassis" in Sport Mode nothing changes on the display and the default remains checked.

Can anyone help me figure out where I need to extract my updated PSdZdata files? I downloaded the 2 lite files but they both have a large number of unorganized files (i.e., not in a predetermined folder structure). It looks like they match what is currently in my esysdata\psdzdata\swe folder but the 'swe' folder has subfolders that match the prefix of all the files within the two Zips. Thus I'm hesitant to just drop them all into the 'swe' folder...

if it helps, some of the subfolders that seem to already be established based on my old PSdZdata are swe\blup; swe\btld; swe\cafd...

any thoughts? can i just delete the current content and replace with the extracted files from the two zips without a problem?

If i remember correctly. When I tried this.... After writing the donor/valid VIN. and read the fsc codes it shows up as still accepted. However when you allow the car to sleep or reboot the NBT/CIC it took a while for it to reject. You will see Navi and Voice functions get deactivated on the screen too. Read the fsc again after it will definitely be rejected.

Same goes when writing the original VIN back. For me at least, it took a while.

BTW. I have an Emulator on mine.

But the funny thing was all my FSC certs were still valid even though I waited for hours. I can still use my navigation, voice control....etc. Nothing was rejected.

I did the change yesterday night and after more than 12 hours, my fsc code still show "accepted" and my navigation is still working.

But I thought you "write" using VO code method or you use the FSC extended feature? Maybe both will have same result???

Just received my MY2014 320ED a couple of days ago. Would you be kind enough to send me info on the latest coding software please.

I want to code out the inaccurate speedometer reading which really bugs the life out of me.

Also would like to get BMW connected working if possible but I understand I may need an additional BMW code for that.

Hi Shawn,

I think since I don't have the hardware emulator, whenever I change my nbt's VIN, it will be changed back to follow the car's VIN.

Because of this I will not be able to update the service and enable bmw online/internet since my VIN don't have this service.

Maybe the solution is to purchase an emulator and activate the service then take it out.... do you think my thinking make sense?

I don't think you will be able to correct the Speedometer Advance though. BC_V_KORREKTUR seems to do nothing.

6NR Connected Drive will require a 9C FSC Enabling Code.

No, it makes no sense. If you write new VIN to NBT, with or without Emulator, the FSC Codes should switch to Rejected staus due to the mismatch between the Head Unit and the FSC Codes in it. The emulator only handles the mismatch between Head Unit and CAS. For Activation, it requires a 3-Way match.

This is how it works on F10, but for F30, I do not know, except to say that if it is possible, the Code should be similar.

Is there any further progress on this? I have f30 with kafas2, LDW, LCW, FCW, ETC.

I added 5AC and VO coded kafas2, nbt, kombi, and FEM body for good measure. However, I don't have the stalk button to activate, and the code for auto on in f10 does not appear to exist.

Only reference to FLA was FLA_Aktiv. Which I changed to A Oder position 2.

Still nothing.

Any ideas?

Do you have any FSC cert for 6F (Sat-radio) or E5 (laptimer)? Since it will accept any VIN, I want to see what is the status when I write in the cert.

These are the only 2 without certs. The rest are all activated. By writing an invalid cert it will not destroy the valid cert, am I right?

You can't use just any old FSC Codes and mix and match them with existing FSC Codes. All the FSC Codes need to have the same VIN, even with emulator. You would need a full set, and from an ///M car to have Lap Timer, which probably requires ///M Kombi to work anyhow.
