Sorry if this a little ot, but didnt someone get equivalent increase with mid-pipes rather than with dps on the advan dyno day before last? ~260rwkw with jb I think it was, anyone recommend the midpipe route over dp?

Downpipes are part of the Holy Trinity. Exhaust is not.

So thats a no then. Either option would be at least 3 months away for me at this stage anyway. I'm happy just enjoying the procede at the moment

OT again, but is there any other downside to running catless DP's with the stock tune besides the CEL coming on?

the downside is that there would be gain from running stock tune with downpipes, might as well keep your stock one!?

I remember somebody did get a dyno sheet that ran contrary to all the other hundreds of dyno runs comparing Tune vs Tune + DP v Tune + DP + Meth.

I think it's fair to say however that the Holy Trinity is well established with a body of independent dyno sheets. It's more likely the run that seemed to point to midpipes only/some aftermarket exhaust getting gains equivalent to DPs was an unexplained anomaly.

That was me, with my old 135i vert..

Catless mids and running JB3/1.4 on map 5...255.1killer waspz...

OT: my JB3/1.4 is FOR SALE... $200...
