AussieRacer has arrived!

Got the call from my dealer today!

Car arrived yesterday afternoon at the dealership and have scheduled a pickup for Thursday afternoon next week. Tosca delivered the dealer two 135i's.

My great sales guy told me that they had just literally rolled it off the truck and moved it into the workshop knowing that I was coming for a quick look and to drop off my plates. And that was true as it was flithy.

Photos are below shot using a cheap ar$e point and shoot camera.

In the workshop:

At least the interior is clean:

Boot with skibag option, and unfitted, but painted euro plate holder (I'm not using it, but my dealer will hand over):

I also had delivered this week a present for my 135i

Bring on Thursday!

For those that like to know the little technical details (like me), there were two interesting stickers on the drivers right rear window. The red/orange sticker seems to show that they lock the suspension by putting rubber inserts into the springs.

Awesome looking car. I noticed you got paddles on the sport steering wheel. However simonB pictures of the inside of his car doesnt have them. Is that because yours is an auto and his is a manual?????

Very interesting information re the suspension! I have heard of someone transporting their car interstate for a race with the suspension shot at the destination. Apparently the constant bobbing up and down wrecked it.

iPod was a gift from ME to the car.....sad huh?

Would be great if dealer's do include them as they really aren't that expensive.

Auto was an easy decision for me. Whilst I love my driving I just couldn't live my a daily driver that was a manual. If I had a road-going weekend toy, rather than the current track toy, it would definitely be manual.

Only another 118 hours to go....

Oh I see, I thought you dealer was rather generous...

I got a bunch of flowers, key ring, bottle of wine and a 1:18 scale model 135i.

Congrats, AussierRacer, work hard - the time goes quicker! Great idea re the iPod, may do that for my Gen 3 style Nano that is going to end up living in the car, I think - I will by an Touch to replace it for walks and photos etc.

Well done on the pre-delivery photos, interesting that you got a Euro plate holder. I should check to see if mine came with one.

Please please please let me know what you think of the automatic gear box and if there is any power difference from the ECU because of the automatic. I am most interested to know before I order my car.

AussieRacer, loved your iPod idea so much, I've just copied it and ordered myself a 16GB Touch for the car, complete with the engraving.

Cheers for the idea and the heads-up

taka, the offer's there if you want to drive my auto 1er, to compare against a manual.

And if you bin it, expect a world of bad referrals

Aussieracer, they are taking a while to get the car to you. Mine arrived at the dealer on a Friday and they got it to me on the Monday afternoon.
