N55 tunes?
So my lease is up in August and i am still debating what to get. I would like to get a new bimmer but i have heard that the new n55 doesnt have that many tunes out there.
I love my plug and play turbo tuner for my 2009 135i because of the fact that it is almost undetectable, cheap, and didnt mess with the fuel to air ratio or throw any codes ( most of the time. ) Whats out there for the new n55? I might consider trading off MPG for more power. My apologies if there are thread similar to this one already.

JB4 is out for the N55. Has both power and an economy map you can switch to for an extra 2-4mpg.

you did a lot of work for a car thats leased. what does your dealership think? One service advisor charged me $150 because she said the code was thrown because of my tune and took a hour to figure out it was there.

I got her in a lot of sh*t in return as she sent me an email of suggestions amounting to over $1,000. One suggestion was to change both rear tires when I had 6/32nd left! Ended up paying nothing.

I really want to put jb4 on my N55 lease but am scared that when I give the car back or take it in for service they will see some code that indicated it at one point had a tune.

Dealers cannot find those sort of codes. The ECU would have to be copied and sent to BMW in Germany for a major analysis. Which dealers do not do on a lease return. They only do it if there is some major issue such as an engine blowing.
