FMIC advice
I am looking at doing full bolt ons and then maybe a cobb 2+ tune.
What is a good intercooler to go with? Thinking about maybe AMS (6inch) Wagner (5.2inch) or others. Don't mind minor trimming if required but def want to maximise flow and minimise lag. Any feedback or thoughts welcome. |

IN this case size does not matter. Personally id go with Evolution Racewerks, its a tested, raced set up that has been proven. As far as a tune, if you want the best get a custom COBB tune or custom GIAC tune.

Group buy for the Forge is underway and seems to be top notch for $925 delivered.

I went with Wagner FMIC and found it works really well. Giac had good results from ETS as well as ER. I found even less lag with the Wagner than stock so I think pressure drop must have been improved.
Fit wise, almost no trimming on the wagner. ETS is a bolt on and I believe ER needs minor trimming. Are you going to be on track or on the drag strip? Once I make it to QR again, I can get some log comparison with Vinney's car to see the differences in IATs between his FMIC and the Wagner. ps there is no custom Cobb in Brisbane. There is a place in Hillcrest which does custom tunes but I am not sure what they use. They usually deal with Porsche Race Cars, ie not really turbos.
