I tell you something you might not realized. BMW always pick the best looking color for each particular model on the front cover of their sales literature. Do you remember which color it is for the E90? and for the E46?

More trivia...Do you know which option on the car is always pictured on the front cover.

If DonnyGirl is the one who posted a thread about being more attractive women with an e90, is Donny a guy?

Too many posers in this forum.

If you want opinions about color, go to the Poll that our administrator, MarkE90M3, set up:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3008

You will see that SG is ranked #1 (as of today) as the color most commonly chosen among voters.

SG looks great when in the sun, under overcast skies it is dull. It also scratches (swirls) just as easily as a black automobile.

SG is a bit too "executive" for my liking

I think Donny is still second guessing the SG colour. Remeber this recent thread?

"Will SG be dangerous in twilight?"

Especially here in the UK where it always pretty dreary light condtions

Any veiws / concerns over beeing seen in a SG ?
Donny - SG is a fine colour, and the most popular. Resale won't be an issue. Try not to worry about resale when you haven't taken delivery of your car yet. Relax and enjoy. It is a great car.

Yeah, but when I posted whats the best combination, not what you have, but what you think is ideal, people said silver with black interior and aluminum trim. Thats what I bought.

But I disagree with the op, but can understand that England does get very little sunshine, and agree, that SG's metallic brilliance comes through in a nice sun. I live in Houston, so, obviously don't have that problem, and think SG looks great.

I don't understand how he thinks Silver is bad and bad for resale? silver is the most popular color in any car in the past few years, people love it, and its easy to keep clean. I would avoid black cars in places like Houston (even though a clean black car is my favorite).

I now realsie I should have gone for a classic Jet Black. BTW TiAg and white are pretty stupid choices as well, and I don't think Black Saphire will look particulatrly good, unless its plished very day.

Anyone else feel happy with their SG choice after a few months ?
I would not have gotten Jet Black! I would have preferred Mystic Blue or even White. Jet Black is soooooo hard to keep clean.

If you pick black you won't have any time for the chicks 'cause you'll be spending all your time washing it.

I think that people should get what they want, not what they think others would want. Beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder, and an e90 owner should be self-confident enough to rely on his or her own wants and desires.

I also feel that color choice is mainly a right-sided brain decision, not a left-sided one. Color choice based on visibility in different weather conditions is taking this a bit too far. One could always buy a bright white van if visibility were an issue.

Sorry for being offensive in my use of words in original post - of course everyones colour choice is of equal value.

Yeah in the UK its always pretty damp and dreary plus on the way to work I see loads of grey (Sparkling Graphite ?) Audis, VW Golfs, Vauxhalls (GMs) - hence the pre delivery nerves.

Hey 330m are you trying toscare me or what ! - Maybe I shall reinforce my front doors !

BTY Don't take me or my posts seriously.

BTW2: My salesperson rang me an hour ago to say he could deliver two days early - next Tuesday Yes - Now I am worried, and acnnot get any sleep about trashing it on the first day.

Appologes once again

I agree. White and silver are the best colors for a car when it comes to reselling. Plus IMHO, they are very clean colors.

My 1st option was SG, but when i arrived at the dealership it was a cloudy day, and i didnt like it. So i opted for silver. It's the next lightest step up. And i dont regret it , sure its super common, but atleast it always looks classy. However now that ive seen SG out on the roads in the sunshine, its nice.

My TiAg always looks shiney, even when covered in road dirt. I think it is one of the easiest colours to keep looking clean and bright. No regrets with my choice

And Donny, you live in Blightey so GOOD CHOICE old chap

Yeah, black looks great in SoFLA. Although, I have metallic paint on my A4…
