car feels slower help me!!!
ok so I've had my car for a couple of months and only drive it when its nice out because I have a civic for dd. when I first got the car and would take traction control off I could send the ass end squirrely in first. now with traction control off it barley spins the tires. am I losing hp? I checked the dv vales and charge pip connections an all looks good. nothing is coming off. its definitely not me getting use to the car. when shifting through the gears everything feels fine and turbos are defiantly spooling cuz you can feel them kick in, even in third you can hear the tires starting to spin. also as a side not I have a riss racing exhaust and cfe intake. and stock run craps that are new from the dealer. out side temp around here has been around 70º when I got the car it was around 55º to 60º any sugetions on what it could be?

Probably needs to have the adaptive settings reset (quick search will tell you how). And, its angry that your Civic is your DD.

I bet your rear tires have worn down pretty good and are giving you less thread squirm now & more traction. How are your rear tires? Most ppl only get between 8K to 18K miles out of them.

It's the temp outside. When it is 55 degrees here, I can't get traction in 1st, 2nd and parts of 3rd. When it is 70 and above, only first gives me issues. Definitely the temp. Those runflats get squirrely when the pavement is cold.

Also, FI cars tend to run a lot better in cooler weather. They tend to have a little more pep in the step. I call that weather, "Turbo Weather"...

sorry to kind of derail, but can't we just remove that whole section with the sound baffle?

Um..im pretty sure if you mess with the stock charge pipe you either need to get aftermarket on that connects securely on both sides, or dont do shit to the stock one..
The baffle is in between the stock pipe where the two dv hoses intersect, if you remove that the pipe will be too short, period. Just get an ER chargepipe with their replacement DV's or a BOV setup (better). Less restrictive incoming throttle and drag. Also, not sure if thats a pic of the N55 CP or the n54, but im pretty sure my n54 CP the whole thing was one piece.. |

It's not supposed to connect to anything, it's an engine sound system similar to the last Z4. Gives an air intake sound when you get on it. Without it the car us much quieter. You can also replace it with a stock 3 series charge pipe if you dent want aftermarket. The 1 is the only car to use the sound baffle... It has no effect on performance with or without it
