That thing is probably the simplest install ever. If you have the tools to lift your car I'd just do it yourself. However, if you do find a good shop ask them if they can walnut blast your intake for me I can't find anyone in Wilmington that can do it.

Finally got it done

Thanks - the cdv delete made a huge difference.
I had Perf BMW in CH do the walnut blast under warranty - that stopped the hesitation under WoT.

did you put in a new valve or just remove the valve entirely?

i don't really understand why people don't just remove it, warranty aside.

Warranty aside, I think they don't know that removing achieves the same goal. I guess once they put them side by side they'll figure it out

OP, trans definitely feels better without it!

They did mine & got good results. Better idle & smoother running up the rpm range.

I would say a night and day difference. This has been written up many times, but here are my observations:

1. Easiest when you get the car up on a lift.
2. Remove plastic undertrays - but be sure to keep track of all the screws!
3. Wrap a towel around your arm (that you use to remove the CDV).
4. Pinch off both the hoses on either end of the CDV.
5. Remove CDV gently - fluid WILL drip down your arm (and into the towel and not into your armpit if you did #3).
6. Fit new CDV gently and unhook hose clamps.
7. Pump clutch pedal and bleed system - and Enjoy!

Total time: 25 mins

Re: Valve Walnut Blast - also a big difference, no more hesitation at idle or WoT. I would suggest new plugs to go along with the cleaning so you start nice and clean!
