NKG Laser Iridium Spark Plugs + Torque Questions.
I went ahead and bought about as much general maintenance items as I could; to include some NKG plugs. They have single ground straps and run colder which is supposedly better for higher boost? The only inconvenience think is they come stock with a .031" and PTF suggests a .022" gap.
Pro Tuning Freaks blog about plugs: http://blog.protuningfreaks.com/2013...m-ilzkbr7a-8g/ My fingers hate me and it took some time but I am pretty confident that all my plugs are down to .022"-.024". Will it be an issue that they are not all EXACTLY the same and have a +/- .002 difference? Also like I said I am replacing a whole bunch of party tomorrow and would like to make sure I torque a lot of my drain plugs back to proper specks as I have always just hand tightened... I would just ask for the specs directly, but like I said its a lot (differential drain plug, transmission drain plug, oil house filter bolts, rotor bolts, caliper bolts, etc, etc, etc) Edit: Found these specs. Confirm? Wheel Lugs: 88.5 FTLBS/ 120 NM Transmission Drain Plug: 27 FTLBS/ 36NM Differential Drain Plug: 44.2 FTLBS/ 60NM Spark Plugs: 16.9 FTLBS/ 23NM Transmission Brace/Mount: 14 FTLBS/ 19NM
