You have the option of turning off iPod integration during setup if desired.

You can even have this and the 6FL (USB/iPod) running together as separate modes in your radio/iDrive.

^^^Yes. One of my regrets was not getting bluetooth....Looks like this might be for me. I didnt see a response on the installation aspects of it though.

We did an OEM installation on a new 1 a couple of weeks ago, the button was present on the wheel.

Wow, this looks like a great alternative to spending the unncessary cash on BMW Assist w/BT and ipod/USB. I have yet to use BMW Assist.

This is a very simple installation, essentially plug and play (minus activation form the dealer).
