Last thing I did was buy one. Just bought a 2010 128i 6mt U.S. spec in Italy! 57k Miles and about zero options.
No real mods lined up, but I did pickup some fluids and assorted bits: 7L of Liqui Moly 5w30 Top Tech 4605 (LL04) Mahle Oil Filter 3qt Redline D4 2qt Redline 75W140 BMW Oil Travel Case (for some reason I thought they were leather, but it's nylon) 1L of BMW 5w-30... because the Liqui Moly bottles don't fit in the oil travel case... 1 Gallon of BMW coolant 5L jug of distilled water Redline Water Wetter Mann Air Filter Mann Cabin Filter (fancy pants bio-functional/carbon one to possibly help with alergies) 6x NGK LZFR 6AP 11GS 1 Pair of Osram Rallye 65w H7 bulbs Nokya Hyper Yello H11 for the fogs Laminx Yellow for the fogs And the 1st mod! Wolf Racing Clutch Stop Maybe I'll do a 4k HDR VR how to video to help contribute to the forum. I'll have to wait a week or two to get most of this in. I had a 2007 530i before with a similar n52 engine and an automatic. Its amazing what loosing 600 pounds and switching to a 6mt will do for driving pleasure! Really looking forward to tossing this around in the Dolomites! -Sean |

Did you replace your front rims by 7.5" wide ones or did you keep the original 7" at the front?

Yup, I have both the Section 2 and PE. Both are pretty much sound mods. I was so close to getting a 135i but now I'm saving up for an M2 and calling my 128i good for now. That is until AA headers are back on sale or if I find a deal on a 3 stage IM.

Had all new brakes installed (new rotors, Cool Carbon S/T pads, Bimmerworld SS lines, Motul 5.1 fluid), modified CDV, and White Line RSFB.
Can't wait to test everything out at Lime Rock next week! |

Not installed yet, but I found a barely used set of the 42mm piston calipers from the performance brake package off of ebay. I stripped the whole thing apart and dropped it off for powdercoating. They were able to match the color almost perfectly to the car! Rebuilt the thing and now it's ready to be installed with the SS brake lines. Probably going to do the same to the fronts when the next front brake job is due.

Yes, rear. Yes, same pads and carriers (and brake lines, wear sensor, anti-rattle clips). Yes, they clear 17" OEM wheels.

Yet one more thing to add to my wish list of things I want, probably whenever my rear brakes/rotors need to be replaced.

Installation instructions say that coding is required. Some people don't do it but I plan to, soon. I imagine it deals at least with brake bias.

Friend was driving the car and over steered off the road onto a dirt bank. Ended up costing a pretty penny but my friend covered almost all of the expenses. Fenders and hood were fine. Undertray got demolished and somehow managed to break the thermostat. Thankfully, I already had a waterpump and thermostat sitting in the garage. Also took the chance to upgrade to the Aero bumper. Managed to grab a m sport rear bumper in the same color from a forum member, but it had PDC holes. So I got these bumper plugs painted while the car was in for paint.
