So......The shop I took it to wants:
$800 for the walnut shell blast
$180 for an oil flush/oil change
$140 for a power steering flush.

No warranty coverage on anything.

Does all that sound above board?
Thanks in advance

$800 for the walnut shell blast - pretty pricey but not far off what others charge. Keep in mind that N55's were improved for this and really don't need this work until much higher mileage, say around 85k. You should be doing spark plugs instead.
$180 for an oil flush/oil change - that's high...
$140 for a power steering flush - no idea on cost for this.

Is this a BMW dealership? Did they say anything about the rough idle? None of this work sounds like it will fix that.

I agree......independent shop in Grapevine TX (near Southlake). I will look elsewhere. I think if I go to my normal oil change place and go with the Mobile One I should be fine if I change it every 5k or so. Seems there are several shops that will do the walnut shell service for $600 or so. This shop is just very conveniently close to my work. But none of this helps with the rough idle.

Those prices are ridiculous. Keep in mind, rough idle is a pretty common issue on the N55 and doesn't seem to correlate with plugs / mods / coilpacks / intake valve cleanliness. You can search "n55 rough idle" on here and e90 post and find a ton of threads.

As far as power steering and oil change you can do those easily yourself and become more intimately acquainted with the car.

+1

Bav auto has a great selection of DIY videos, see the Oil Change DIY below. A word of warning though... DO NOT use a Fram oil filter for your BMW. Ever. They have a tendency to disintegrate for some reason - google it and you'll see.

One thing they don't do in the video is remove the smaller O-ring on the bottom of the filter cap. They also don't use new oil to lubricate the new O rings which is a good idea. A small dab on your finger and then just work it around the O ring until its lightly covered in oil.

And how to reset your Oil Change Service Interval:

Sooooo, now it runs great!

No more low rpm lurching and near stalling. All I did was add fuel injector cleaner (Sea Foam) and it runs like a charm.

The first thing I would do is change tires if u have RFT.
Of course, I am bias toward Michelin PSS.
Tint your car. Its hot in Dallas.
As Esteban said, PE and PPK is a good ideal.

If your going to do lot more than this, get a better car. Lol

M3 Rear subframe bushings or the Whiteline rear subframe bushings inserts. Big improvement in back end handling for low cost. Rear end wobble is noticeable over bumps if you drive spirited.

Personally I subscribe to this order of priority to things [But to each his own]:

Maintenance,
Suspension,
Brakes (not as necessary on the 135i)
Trackdays/HPDE
Power

Except for a faster 0-60 or quarter mile time, more power is fruitless without control and ability.

@VRG_135 is your car a DCT? If so the SIB 12-15-14 addresses the rough idle w/ AC on issue. The other thing I did to my '11 135i w/ DCT was get the PPK1 which adds a mild boost in HP and torque but more importantly also smoothed out the throttle response.
