BMW Performance Stripes on Montego Blue (Pics inside)

Hey folks, long time lurker here. The wife has a 2010 128i which has been trouble-free, hence the lack of posting. Just want to share some pictures of the performance stripes we just had installed today. We couldn't find any pics of the stripes on Montego Blue so hopefully this helps the next person contemplating performance stripes on the same color car.

First off, I clayed the car with little time yesterday. Mainly prep'd the stripe's surface so the car is partly washed with dry spots here and there. The car is due for a good polishing and waxing too so the paint is not in it's prime. Furthermore, the installer said to wait a couple of days before washing. Hopefully come Sunday, I can wax the car.

Now, the stripes. According to the installers, they are quality vinyl. They are of high gloss which I like because they shine with the paint. At certain angles, you can't see the stripes which surprised me at first (I actually thought someone ripped the stripes off the car approaching it from the disctance ).We bought them from Tischer (Get BMWparts.com) so we saved a few bucks. Had them installed by the local graphics guys that do most of the local commercial vehicles and police cars. How hard can racing stripes be for them, right? Anyhow, saved a good bit in comparison to the dealers labor rate.

Without further adu, here are 2 pics. The wife has more on her phone which I can't seem to sync on my PC... Your thoughts and opinions are welcomed, I know they're not for everyone.

Edit: More pics

Jeez, ya know, there's something about it I like and something I don't... can't put my finger on either one! Looks like an excellent job!

Thanks. Just added a few more pics from today. Still not washed but looks clean in the pics. Sorry for pic sizes, I usually don't have trouble posting on other sites.

looks awesome. One of my favorite mods that makes my car stick out the most are my stripes, great job!
