Arrow IROC-Z Camaro with 50 Shot VS E90 330i 6 Speed

This kid I know has an IROC its a 1990 with 50 Shot of Nitrious, Headers, Exhuast, Intake, and Injectors wants to run me.... At 8 Tonight

He said he is going to Spray.

I am bringing my Vid cam, I wonder how bad I am going to get beat.

He told me he ran 13.0 at the track last week. I think it was a bluff to scare me but I am not sure...

Does he have the RS coupe or IROC Z Coupe? V6 or optional V8 version. The stock IROC came with a V6 140 hp, V-8 305 cid while the optional IROC Z coupe has a V8 and 210 hp, 5.0 305 cid or 5.7 350 cid 245 hp. They only manufactored about 28k of the RS and just over 4k of the IROC coupe. Depends on which option he has. Hard to say but give it your best shot!

Isn't the setup a bit lop sided? His toy is heavily modified and your motor vehicle is a small family oriented sedan.

Who you you think will win?

YOU OF COURSE!!!!!

Go get him!!!

Have fun but please be careful.

Nothing to lose. If you win, you can brag and gloat for weeks that your family sedan beat his modded sports car. If you lose, just blame it on the fact that his car is all modded and you're driving a stock family sedan.

At it's peak, the 90 IROC-Z ran 0-60 in about 6.0 flat and about a 14 1/2sec 1/4 mile. If he's running nitrous then he's done other motor work( if he's smart). You're probably going to have your hands full even without the spray.

Perhaps you should swing by ur local shop and hide a 50 shot in your trunk too haha. Who cares about blown motor, as long as you win. Afterall, you should be living your life a quarter mile at a time!

TQ on the 5.7 is in the 330-340 range. It was a nice motor for the time.

I remember them to be pretty fast back then but the big engines were in as well as that type of car. The Z28 was pretty fast as well. Can't wait to see the vid.

I would expect better numbers than that with the juice and upgrades based on the specs of the original motor. If you lived closer I'd let you surprise him and show up in the M3. He'd need very ounce of that juice to make it a race.

Dude, run it naked so you save as much weight as possible. If you can, shave and wax your entire body too. Take some lax and hope for the best.

Also, throw some pierogis at him just prior to throw his concentration off.
