When to buy new Rotors?

Hello Everyone,

I'm coming up soon for my first brake job on my 12' 135i, I have about 39K on it and I'm wondering how often do you need to replace the rotors. Seems like they are reletively expensive for this car, so I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of them.

My front brakes are starting to squeek and I don't know how much of that is the brake pad and how much of that could be the rotor.

Any advice would be awesome!

At 39K kms I don't think you need rotors. I'm at 66K kms with 2 track days and I figure I'm still good for another 20K kms.

Measure them, they should state the minimum thickness on them somewhere.
