Haha I mean a company called evolution raceworks makes fenders that are wider than a stock 135s so you can fit beige wheels up front. And a new hood as ^in something snazzier than the stock hood

Coral.....Tell me it came out perfect...please!!

BV- cool suggestions- but I leased.
I'm hoping the PE won't mess with my lease return- waiting on Vegard to confirm that- of course if anyone here knows I'd be interested.

lavman- thanks for the referral- but the car is already at PortChester.....

Sorry, it's late- so I'm tired and did not understand your post.
Are you saying the performance parts have no affect on the lease return if they are BMW parts?

denville bear and body in morristown, nj is located right next to morristown bmw.

their body guys can repair and refinish bmw's in their sleep.

my guess is 85% of their work is bmw's so there's nothing they haven't seen or done to these cars.

i worked in a body shop for a summer. most body shops deliver cars back to the customers with an assorted lot of missing clips, seals and fasteners, particularly if they don't have a lot experience with certain car makes and models ...trust.

1 series convertibles are pretty rare so the odds of a particular body shop ever having worked on one is slim.

i'd prefer to deal with a place which has actually taken apart one of these cares and successfully put it back together.

lol

I'd give them a shot. Vegard and Norman are both good SAs and Sebastian and Rob Raddison are top notch manager-level guys. PS - Vegard returned every one of my calls when my car was in the shop for a week and a half for some electrical issues, and is a real enthusiast himself. Always a plus when your SA actually knows something about the cars they work with.
Update- I picked her up today- DCH did an AWESOME job!!
The car looks as good as the day I got her.
I had the performance exhaust installed- and that's a great addition.
I don;t know if it was that I'd gotten used to driving the piece of shit hyundai, or the few extra HP from the PE, but the car feels a lot faster.

Thank you so much for the great advice,

If you don't mind taking a drive out to Glen Cove in Long Island...Martino auto concepts would get you back on the road and looking like new..I just got hit a few weeks ago at school in West Virginia..But I'm going to take the car to MAC for repairs..I never had good luck with dealer body shops..I took my Cooper s to the habberstad body shop in huntington and the turn around time was quick, but the paint started cracking a few months later

Grats, I'll bet it feels good to be back behind the wheel of your own car. I'm sure now that when I go in for a window seal leak and wiper blades in a week or two, Vegard will be like "we just had a LMB vert in the shop."

I would take it to the dealer. They will restore it to factory fresh and properly match the paint.

I got hit similarly tho I didnt slide into anybody. It was about 7K in damage. The trunk itself was cracked, exhaust shot to the DPs, new bumper, etc...

My BMW dealer had the car back to me in a week, including wait times on the PE and bumper components.

I used Hassels collision shop out on LI. Ive never heard of a good experience with Manhattan BMW just fyi.
. Habberstad or bay shore is the best

Here she is!

I actually love this shot as it shows the ass of the car in an aggessive stance ( sometimes photos don;t show this part well)

Sport exhaust

I guess another "benefit" of driving a BMW: The bitch I was pushed into- whos Rav 4 had only teeny bumper damage discovered that she now has some sort of personal injury so she got a lawyer who claims my "negligence" caused this ( I was pushed into her car)
Funny, at the scene everyone was fine.
That's contingency for you....
