New Audi A3 interior - orange galor!
Would work just fine for the 1///M

Never owned an Audi but they have got BMW beat in the interior department!

But I'm borrowing my fathers 2011 A4 for the last couple of weeks and I have to say I'm not impressed with the interior- dare I say I think the BMW's is nicer! |

I personally don't understand what all the fuss is about when it comes to Audi interiors. Sure, they use high-contrast color schemes that might catch your eye at first glance. But if you look at the details and actually use the controls everyday, you will be underimpressed. All the small finish touches are just not there - almost every button in the Audis I've been in feel like cheap plastic and kind of an afterthought. Even in an A7 or A8, the main control buttons around the iDrive-like knob feel as if they belong to a child's toy made in China.
That's just my $0.02.

No thanks. It's too much orange. I wouldn't want that in the 1M.
Having test driven many Audis, I find that their interiors are generally nice, but their tech interface is 5 years behind. No one has it all together like BMW. .

Good to see honesty even when talking about competing brands. I had an A5 prior to my 1M and the interior was definitely beautiful, overall Audi has some of the best interiors around. I do find the simplicity of BMWs center console very nice, heat/ac/seatwarmers etc are all more quickly accessed with BMW compared to Audi.

This Audi interior isn't doing anything for me. There are subtle and non subtle ways to accent things, where do you think this one fits?

Just to clarify...
I wasn't exactly talking about the 2tone scheme but more the materials used on the inside of Audis. The M3 for example is not nearly as nice as the RS5 interior. JMO, I still bought the E90 M3 because the driving dynamics are more important to me(why I am on my 5th Mcar) and the BMW interior isn't necessarily bad, just not as good as the RS5. From the gauges, to the quality/durability of the leather, the steering wheel, the buttons, to the seats themselves, no comparison.

The interior of S5 is way better than 335i, meanwhile S5 and RS5 are pretty close to each other. To me, M3 the interior is good enough with its pricing (in the US or UK).
I would take the S5 for its interior and looking and M3 for its handling and performance and its better rear headroom. |

There are way too many button's in an Audi today, and I am a gadget freak!
Again - driving a new A4 I can never find the button I want because the whole dash is filled with them together. But I Audi does a much better job of steering wheel buttons then BMW does. |

So when it came time to decide where I spend the formidable funds on upgrading the Recaros on the RS 4 or 1///M, I opted for the former (also somewhat guilty the M has been getting all the mod love lately ). So I jumped on this BNIB set of Audi exclusive skins for the Euro Recaros (a slight variation of the Sportster CSs). Hoping I get to source the donor seats themselves somehow (ebay.de, or through UK salvage yards, etc.) Starting with the reds as beggars can't be choosers, though by the time I am done with the reupholstery should look like the Sprint Blue ones on the last pic, in fact better (as I'll be using also perforated leather on certain sections).
