Managed to get a jar of honey stuck under my seat... a fun story, but I'm still stuck

This is fun.

So about 3 months ago I bought a jar of honey at a farmers market. Totally forgot about it. Apparently it rolled under my passenger seat and lay dormant for quite awhile.

Well today I had my guy I trust wash my car. He tells me my seat won't move back after he moved it all the way up to vacuum the back. Low and behold the honey has made it's home!

So the seat moves up down tilt etc, but won't move forward or back. The motor sounds like it is engaging, but obviously not going anywhere.

The great honey war has begun.

After prying, lubing, swearing, and praying, the honey jar was removed.... in 1 piece! (still tastes awesome I should add).

Huzzah!

....But the seat still won't move. Again there is definitely power, and an audible "clunk" like the motor is trying, but it just can't move.

I've tried sitting in the seat and pushing to assist, but no luck.

I looked at my driver side and it appears the motor is not supposed to be bent like it is, but I don't really see it hitting anything. Next step is to try and bend it back in the right position I guess?

I would just rip the whole thing out, but the seat is so forward I wouldn't be able to access the front bolts.

I'm open to ideas... while eating a pb&honey sandwich

My wife thinks this is utterly hilarious, so I'm honestly thinking about trading in the car just to spite her

This is the most random and best thing Ive gotten to read in days... but I realize it's sort of at the expense of your seat misfortune... sorry. I've got NO advice other than maybe trying to straighten the motor out and see if it engages somewhere?

Good luck bud!

Haha that's hilarious.

Just pop out the seat bolts, tilt the seat back to get it out next time lol. Sounds like it's somehow just off the track or worm gear. Might be able to get in there with a really low socket and wrench, or weld a pipe to the socket

My thought is that it's off the track too. Can you elaborate on how I would fix that with the low socket?

I thought I might be able to jam the seat back or something, but I don't weigh that much and my attempts didn't appear to do anything.

Just remove the 4 screws the seat is screwed with to the car. Those are 4x Torx50 screws.
You should be able to lift the seat a bit and remove the honey jar Afterwards do vice versa without the honey jar.

Honey is already out, but it wasn't possible to remove the seat. It's stuck all the way forward and don't think it's possible to get to the front screws.

If banging the motor back into place doesn't work, I'm going to get some big guy to leg press the seat to see if I can get it back some. I don't care if it doesn't move anymore, I just don't want it 100% forward.

Basically to get the front bolts. Maybe s small ratchet and a hammer to break the bolts free

That's the bolt I would need to get... I assume it's tight as shit too.

Damn yeah, unable to access the floor bolts. But the others are pretty easy to loosen. Did that with my Recaro Conversion on OEM slide rails.

Fixed it! Bent the motor back into place and it now slowly moves back and forward. Good enough for me!

So concludes the great honey saga.

Does anyone happen to know if there is a fuse connected to the power seats? I'm sick of people trying to move the seat now, and it would be awesome if I could just pull the fuse out.

Maybe unplug it. Or pull one of these fuses
