BMW iPod cable from Dan....$60-70 and worth every cent. Integration is seamless with my Mac formatted iPod.

I know i'm digging up an old thread but I recently purchased an Ipod BMW cable from ebay for $34 delivered. Works flawlessly and completely solves the whole naming problem. If you have an ipod and don't have the BMW cable, i HIGHLY recommend getting one off ebay.

like these BMWdave?
http://shop.ebay.com.au/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=ipod+bmw+c able&_sacat=See-All-Categories Thanks for the info guys, I was planning to go down the ipod route instead of the boot cd changer, perhaps i'll just try the usb stick first. I can't stand getting sucked into the whole 'itunes' scenario. |

Same here...Plus I am not too concerned if I forget the USB stick in the centre console with the roof of the car, in case anyone decides to pinch the USB..

Not sure what that pouch is for, because no way would a mobile phone fit in there.

So do I.. But my point was that anyone can easily lift up the centre arm rest in the vert with roof down and pinch the USB stick out of the pouch.. So at least its only a stick and not a IPOD that might be left behind..

Roof down changes things quite a bit Yes, USB sticks selling for pretty much $5 these days are less important than an iPod/iTouch/iPhone/iPad/iPeriod.

Just rename a few Barry Manilow tracks as Black Eyed Peas or similar and any young punk that flogs your stick will shrivel up like the Wicked Witch of the North as soon as they hear his soothing melodies!

Not owning an iPod, I don't really see what the advantage is of having one in the car vs a USB stick other than the possibility of having the iPod nicked.
The USB stick supports random song selection playback and supports the standard m3u playlist format as well for specific song playback so maybe someone can tell me what else you get when using an iPod in the car?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BMW-iPOD-CABL...item4a9c839848 Sounds like a lot of you went the USB stick, which I reckon is good advice too. BUT, if you do have an ipod, this cable is a must.

I think its for the ipod classics, because it fits my old 60gigger on there nicely. the nano flops around in it but at least it has a home
