Pro Tuning Freaks Cobb ETune

As some of you guys may be aware I have recently decided to purchase a cobb ap.

Doing some research on these forums PTF (pro tune freaks) seem to have quite a following with a few glowing reviews and these guys are the ones who have been helping VTT (Vargas) tune their new turbo setups.

Their website:

http://protuningfreaks.com/

Info on the E-Tune service:

http://www.protuningfreaks.com/pro-e-tune-cobb-bmw-n54/

Facebok page:

https://www.facebook.com/protuningfreaks

A few reviews:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=746740

http://blog.protuningfreaks.com/2012...ump-94-octane/

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=842174

I sent Jake a PM http://www.e90post.com/forums/member.php?u=79724
and enquired about if he can do a custom tune for both 98 octane and e70 (thats all thats available in my area) and he said that it will be no problem. He is keen to help us Aussie guys out and offer his E Tune service for $200 (normally $249) and $99 for every additional map required.

How the E-Tune works is that you do the logging yourself, and then email the logs to jake and he will alter the map to suit until you have it spot on.

This is great for the guys who live in remote areas and are reasonably hands on and wish to learn more about tuning.

So let me know if you're keen:

4. ?

I'm on version 2 of an E50 map. Logged a couple of days ago and Dzenno says it's at 90% of where he wants it to be!
Try to use a kickdown stopper when logging. It makes it so easy!

If I get this tune, how long will it be valid for? As in, how long do I have before I contact PTF for the tune?

Are you saying you dont have a cobb but will be purchasing one in the near future, or you have a cobb but wish to install certain parts such as fmic DP's in the near future before having ptf conduct the e-tune?

Oh OK.

Well I'm unsure but if you're getting them installed within say the next month im sure it wouldn't be an issue, but if it will be 6 months or so maybe not...

Is there a time frame that it has to be done by?

I don't get my license back until the 25th of next month!

Cheers

Considering you gotta do 6000rpm runs, this is probably not the best thing to do when you just get your licence back

I can definitely give a big for PTF etune's ive have one on my car and am still working to get it perfect but whenever I give jake my opinion of certain issues I have with the feel (I am ANAL AS F%CK!), he seems to know how to fix it ITS GREAT.

I would say that OTS map are..... SH!T!! Not smooth at all, it either has to be factory smooth or not acceptable if you take your car seriously. Im on my second last revision of an etune and it is in 9/10 cases smoother then factory (im still fixing an issue I had when powering out of a corner)
