Cleaning BWW intake
I have a 2008 128i that came with a BMW performance intake and exhaust. I would like to clean the filter but can not see how to remove the filter. I remove 7 torx screws and can see the trapazoidal oiled gause filter but I see no way to actually remove the filter for cleaning and re-oiling. Any thoughts?

I have answered my own question. I did have out take out the entire air box and dissassemble it to access the filter. Fortunately this does not need to be done that often.

The BMW performance intake I have has two filters. The outer filter is an oiled gause filter and then there is another one behind it that is paper. I cleaned the gause one but did not change the paper one which I probably should have done though it looked pristine. As it is such a bother to take it all apart, I may wait to change the paper one until the next time I clean the gause one.
