I like it for sure, but it would look weird if you had a wheel with white stitching right in front of it.

Ordered new parts for 128i

I just ordered some new parts for my 128i last week. Should start rolling in this week. List below:

Active autowerke tune
Seibon BM Carbon fiber hood
Eibach pro kit plus suspension
Bmw short shift kit
Depo angel eye headlights
CDV delete
Carbon fiber roundels

I will also be getting my tail lights and front windows tinted as well. Will update with pics once installed. Can't wait for all my parts to come in this week!

This is my next mod, I am expecting to receive my 1M binnacle today

On a side note, your binnacle is actually better, my is hard plastic with just film, yours at least is grained.

BTW I think alcantara looks best than leather, my only caveat with the 1M's is the red stitching VS the white/silver of the Performance items.

Easy mod

I know it's simple and not that exciting but it's my first mod, and for 100€ shipped overnight it was a steal. I'm looking forward to the easy maintenance.

Looks great.

Since you have access to all the euro stuff some easy mod ideas that you can find from wreckers on ebay:
- Euro swtich with rear fog + front fog button
- f20 f30 pefromance shift knob
- Trim pieces maybe
- F20 roof antenna cover - its smoother
- 130i or 135i or m3 cluster change + coding
- german n52 tune - 1er-forum.de is source of info
- steering wheel - ie M3 or simmilar
- Euro LCI front lights, even Halogens look great because of the corner lights

Finally got my 3-stage intake manifold installed last week, along with a tune from Active. I celebrated yesterday with an engine bay detail.

Congrats! I'm on the fence right now. Money is an issue unfortunately for my 3-stage haha. How did you find the install?

I actually had a shop do the install. I have no doubt that I could've tackled it myself, but I think it would've taken me a long time (more time than I can spare, really). Not to mention, there is a very good BMW shop local to me that also happens to be an AA dealer, so I figured I could drop the car off and have them do the whole thing. The money I saved by not having to purchase the Simon tool went a long way towards offsetting the install cost of the manifold, so it was nearly a wash anyway.

Be sure to check out the junkyard sites for manifolds. I got mine shipped for under $300, and it was very clean. I didn't even have to look for very long, but I think I got lucky - just be patient and persistent and you should find one no problem - they're definitely out there.

As far as the tune itself, it's good. The character of the engine doesn't change too much overall; that is, you still need to wring it out a little bit. But once you hit 3200-3300 RPM's, the thing really scoots. I feel like I've been mostly stuck in traffic lately and not had much of an opportunity to really open her up much, but I did have a couple occasions where the extra power kind of (pleasantly) surprised me. I've got another autocross in about 3 weeks; I figure the ECU will be fully adapted by then (if it isn't already) and I'll be able to safely & thoroughly stretch this things legs. Looking forward to it!

Should have done it yourself.

It did it before lunch with just your basic tools. The key is labeling things(mainly wires) as you take them out.

I was thinking of saving up for SS headers and the DISA, and evolve tune at the same time. $2800? I think that's a safe number. We'll see how long it takes haha.

Is this intake of yours the Euro version? I think it is, isn't it?

My experience is a bit different to yours but I have evolve tune and it is actually more noticeable in the 2500 to 3500 rpms, top end is kind of the same in feel, however mine is an Euro 130i, so my experience is different to 125/8i users as my car already had a nice top end from the factory, however the feel is as if i had a larger displacement engine in the low-mid range.

Yeah, I'm sure I could've done it, but not before lunch! Would've been a headache for sure. I'm pretty slow working on cars, the first time I tackle a job, at least.
