**** UPDATE 07/06/09 ****
Mid-pipe jig test fitting went very well! The jig is pretty much done. We have another final full system currently being made by hand to ensure that the changes we made to the Y-Pipe to make more power, the changes to the muffler design for more of a "German Grunt", the new tips and the other few various changes are spot on from the original design. Once our fabrication team finishes the finalized kit, they will send it to us for approval. We will then install it on our car locally and make sure it bolts up perfect, sounds perfect, and makes as much power as we want on the Dynojet. We are about 2 weeks away from the initial pre-order with studio shots, sound clips, videos, and dyno sheets. Upon pre-orders opening, we're looking at about a 2 week production run to fulfill 15-20 systems fully packaged and ready to ship. We're excited! Working with this new manufacture has been an awesome experience. They are very knowledgeable and professional in what they do! I'm sure the owner of our test car in California can chime in about his experience dealing with both Gravity and the fabricators Regarding pricing, we will have that posted publicly about a week before the pre-order opens. Since this will be a very high quality system made to our specs (and not using cheap overseas-made Magnaflow knock-offs like others), a system with very high craftsmanship that bolts up 100% every time, a traditional Muffler system (not just a series of pipes that eliminate a muffler like others) and a system that is specifically tuned to make USABLE mid-range power on the 135i, it will be slightly more than the cheapest kits out, but definitely much less than the high-end exhaust systems out there, but with the same level of craftsmanship. This system will sit somewhere in the middle but offer the kind of quality found on systems twice as much more. We're almost there guys! - Andy

I did some quick research on the fabricators since I dont just hand over my car to anyone... They seem to be fairly reputable fabricators for exhaust systems for other vehicles, lots of good feedback on other forums about their products. Cant wait to have the finished product installed

I would post some pictures of the mirror caps but my digital camera with the pictures was either lost or stolen so I will have to buy a new camera before I can post pictures...

Axle back is everything after the midpipes, pretty much just the muffler and any connection pipes needed to hook it up to the existing mid pipes. Catback is everything after the downpipes (or the first set of cats, hence the name), which would be the Y-midpipes and the muffler. Turbo back is the full system, everything after the turbo, which is the downpipes Y-midpipes and the muffler. Its been a while since I spoke to Andy about this but I beleive they ended up going with a stainless steel system so yea it should be fully rust proof. But dont take my word for it, my memory is hazy at times.

Marco,
You are absolutely correct. The exhaust is 100% rust proof Stainless Steel. Guys, just a little more patience! We're about 1 week to 1 week and a half before pre-orders open with FINAL studio pictures, mounted pictures, clips, dyno's etc. Some other good news, our pricing will be less than some of the new additions out for the 135i exhaust market.... for our full downpipe back system!!!!!! Expect a nice chunk off of MSRP for people who will be pre-ordering. We're also including a warranty on our systems, for those that wanted to know - Andy

So when you say downpipe back, do you mean "starting at the downpipe?" So basically a full cat back correct? Looking good as always GAS. And my guess is that this system will cost $799. If I'm right, can I get mine at half off Andy?

Hello, hello!
Well we have some updates. Our manufacture is closed for vacation until Monday but the first final production piece should be ready for pickup when they reopen next week. That will be the final system we'll take studio shots with, install to verify final fitment with the redesigned muffler and Y-pipe, dyno-test (again) and take formal videos and sound clips. I did manage to snap some pictures for you guys of a customer's car with our prototype Street kit on it. It features the double-walled polished tips (as opposed to the Race kit's single walled, brushed/polished tips). The staggering of the tips has changed a little bit since the pictures, but at least it gives you guys an idea! I also have some new sound clips of the Street kit that I need to upload tomorrow. Stay tuned!

***UPDATE***
Final production system will be ready to ship to us (tentatively) on Thursday. Factor in a couple of days of shipping and we should have it installed with studio shots and everything the following week. Pre orders will open then as well! We'll post dyno graphs too! We're almost there guys, can't wait! - Andy
