2013 128i ccv no vacuum

Hola 1ers. Does anyone know how much vacuum should be in ccv without fancy testing equipment? Brand new valve cover I can barely feel any vacuum when I remove the oil cap. When I disconnect the vacuum hose from the back of the valve cover, I have vacuum but it’s barely any too. This is at engine idle.

With the oil cap off. If I give it some throttle, there is definitely some positive air pressure blowing out of the oil cap. N52N engine. Breather goes to bottom of IM. But there is no canister there.

Hmm, I don't think you would feel much vacuum with the oil cap off but admittedly I have not tried that. The valvetronic system helps to eliminate vacuum lines on the N52, so I would assume we can't feel the vacuum like on other cars.

You can read manifold pressure/vacuum with most halfway decent scan tools. Or you can hook up a not-so-fancy vacuum gauge...but youre not going to feel vacuum with the oil cap removed. 15-19inhg is pretty standard. Remember inhg is roughly half of psi so 15inhg would be -7psi. That's not a lot. You'll notice that vacuum readings are never taken from the oil cap. Best from a test port on the manifold or even better, with a scan tool.
