My OC is saying the same thing. With the tracking sources being delayed, they could be released today like your CA said....

I noticed that 10/15/05 is the "Estimated Dealer Delivery" =
is when the dealer will receive the car and is not the delivery to
customer date.
Anyway I stop by my delaership and they told me that if the car
is in in the morning I should be able to get it in the evening. If not
I have to wait till monday,

800# and Owners Circle shows at VPC. CA advises Monday or Tuesday pickup next week.

I will call my CA this morning to see if he has an updated status and see if I can finalize financing (needed to sort out my insurance)....

I wish he would have been more responsive throughout the process. He hasn't contacted me once and every single time I've called him (about 3-4 times since ordering), he always says I was just about to call you...

Franconia / VPC update

CA just emailed me that my car is still at the VPC due to a "campaign" issue. Suggested it might be a software update but would try and clarify. What is a campaign? Why would they have to update software on a car made Sept. 12th?

That sucks. Did you do a search for "Campaign"?

Your car has the latest software - that change happened on September 5th

Keep us in the loop

How did you find out it left today? Mine still shows at the VPC and have not heard back from my CA what the heck a "campaign" is?

My CA gave me the update. We interact via e-mail, as soon as there
is a stutus change (in his system this is really in-real-time)
I get the update.
Ask your CA to e-mail you the VPC status (estimated/actual arrival/departure)

Latest

My CA advised me the latest update is it is still at the VPC with another group of cars from the Franconia that were covered under a "campaign". I have left the CA a message to find out exactly what that is.

Saturday and not much new

FDC, received email update from my CA that VPC reported back there is still an issue with my and other cars due to "campaign issue" but no further details. My CA thinks it is due to a software update. From what I read at bimmerfest.com it appears a software update comes up about every week. Now have to wait until Monday for update but I am glad your's made it out. Maybe it's the way I have it configured; Steptronic, Xenon, Park Assist, Prem, Cold weather 325xi.
Will get update on Monday; and the 800# still says my car is waiting for a ship.

It is possible. My car is 325xi manual with not option.
Probably the software for the automatic/park assist is different.
I also checked the 800 and funny enough the status changed to back
to "waiting at the port of exit for a vessel" ... really funny ....

I have got a call from the dealer and he confirmed that today they
received 40 cars. Mine is in this group.
Unfortunately it arrived too late for prep. so I will get it monday or
at the latest Tuesday.

I'm really looking forward for taking delivery. This waiting/tracking
and sharing with you has been really nice.

Good luck with yours,

fdc

Auto or manual

Chrissa, is your car with auto or manual? IDrive? I am trying to see if a specific configuration may be why my car is being held up at the VPC.

Thanks for the reply

Well, we have the missing link! Thanks for the prompt reply. fdc's and your cars were manuals; another member advised software update of v19 or 19.1 which included an update to address issue with the automatic transmission. Hope it gets updated and released tomorrow. Owe you one.
