Dry Carbon Mirror Poll Need your Opinion

Ok guys well We have two options on the table and we are only going to go with one.

Would you rather:

1.Full dry carbon replacement cover clips and all Pricing $249.99

2.Dry carbon mirror overlays (stick on type) Pricing $189.99

I voted full dry carbon replacements because the BMW Performance covers are $350 from Dan@United and this would be good competition for that part. As for the stick-on overlay, you might as well get a vinyl carbon fiber print done up...

Andrew, you use the term dry carbon for all your products. Can you clarify how this is dry carbon?

Honestly the prices for carbon fiber products for the 1 series are ridiculous from vendors on here! If you go over to e90 post and look at JBSPEED, ADAMASTER and others their CF is STUPID cheap compared to this. Grant you they are overseas rip off companies but if you look at JPSPEEDs feed back, its almost nothing but positive and high quality products.

Their Mirror caps are only 110 (wet)(they actually don’t produce it anymore) and the Perf wing is 200 (dry). And these prices all include shipping.

Now in regards to dry carbon being lighter. Its not like you are replacing the housing either way you face it you are adding weight to the car by sticking a simple cap over it. Heck they dont really weight that much anyway.

So, PLEASE PLEASE give the 1addicts some reasonable prices on pieces.

While I would love to see these prices come down as well you have to keep in mind the volume that these pieces are being made at. There are far more 3's on the road, so they sell far more aftermarket accessories and as I'm sure you know the cost always goes down when the volume goes up.

Also option 1 would not be a cap, so we wouldn't be adding weight to the car. Not that I think there is really a potential for weight savings here.

That said, when will these be ready? I'd really like to get a pair.

Bummer, what happened? Do you know of a company that will be offering them? I'd love to get a set, but the BMW performance ones are a bit more than I'd like to spend.

this may be wrong, but I'm guessing your relationship with fiberoptix went down the hole, you don't sell any of their products anymore.
