rotor replacement, need new pads?

just bought BMW M perf. cross drilled and slotted rotors for front and rear on my 135i.

Do I NEED to replace the pads? or can I use the ones on there now? only 13,000 miles on the car

If you have pad material left >3mm per pad, you can use the same pads.

ok so the SA at BMW was just giving me a run around...is it beneficial to marry pads/rotors together? or will they break in accordingly?

SA's are salesmen. In an extremely optimal (and overpriced) world, yes you'd marry brake pads with rotors, then swap track rotors and track pads only for track use. Then you'd swap back to your street set.

Ignore SA.

If you get new rotors, you do need to bed them in with whatever compound pads you have on the car. So you need to go through that procedure again, then you're good to go.

Have you installed them yet? I'm looking to get some for my 135is.. I have nice 19 vmrs but shitty rotos they come with are ugly and I heard these are better stopping power.. Id love to see photos of them installed since no one on here i've seen has them yet..
