Question 1/4 Mile Launch Suggestions

Hey all, considering heading down to the track this weekend and I'm curious what everyone's "strategy" is for launching. I'm hearing a lot of people say second gear but I'm not sure if that's auto's only or with a clutch drop?

My car is a 2013 135 6-speed man with an axle back, JB4 on Map 5 (auto tune), and a charge pipe.

Anyone have some numbers to share with a similar setup?

Well depends on how much you value your clutch and how sticky of tires you have out back.

Decent start? 3k and rapidly let out clutch (no drop).

Better start? 4-5k and drop the clutch. Reduce revs if you get wheelspin or DSC intervention on your first run.

Pretty sure it's about the shorter gearing. With the auto trans 1st gear spools out too fast, so you can get better traction as well as 60' times by starting in second and not needing to shift as soon.
