Waiting for sticker!?!

My 135i arrived in Newark Sunday afternoon, and the dealer tells me it's still sitting there "waiting for the window sticker"!??! What is that all about?! 2009's have definitely been delivered, so they have the ability to print 2009 window stickers, right? Why should this cause a delay? Anybody heard of this?

That might help you answer your question; it basically has to do with the EPA MPG numbers so there's nothing your CA can really do about it. Seems like the earliest delivery is going to be 10/13.

To say the least. I hate the thought of my baby sitting in a big lot in Elizabeth, NJ.

Nooooo! My CA told me yesterday that I would have my 135 sometime next week. I've got an email into him now and I'll let everyone know what he says.

Garage List
its the law

the law is that the monroney label (sticker you speak of) has to match the cars features. Its a legal requirement to have this label affixed to all new car sales soooo they have to have it and it has to be right.

My local dealer had two 2009s show up but both were 528s. So far, I've been unable to find any report of an x35 being delivered. On the other hand, I can't find anyone who has confirmed an EPA holdup.

I was suppose to take delivery of my 135i coupe tomorrow but he is now telling me it will not be until 10/20 because of all 2009 135, 335, a 535i are being held a the VPC because the cars are not approved for the CARB emission yet. Anyone else hear of this?

My 128 has been approved for pickup this Saturday, 10-11. So I guess it's just the twin-turbo cars.

Is there anything new on the sticker issue? We are waiting to turn our 2006 325i in for a 335i coupe (space gray) that is sitting in Jersey City. I see the last threads on this are about 2 weeks old. We are really losing patience - husband is ready to buy a Vette instead....and this would be our 3rd Beemer.
