I have a BMW 135i N55 2011 and thinking of using 235/40/18 all around on a VMR 710 --18" non-staggered.

Do i need spacers w/ this set-up ? will it be disadvantage if using non=staggered ?
If someone has a 135i with a similar setup, would be great if can send pictures. I m more concern on how these would look on the front and the rears when the front and back would have same size tires
This above also yield a better ride ? and higher ground clearance ?.

Any particular reason why you want to do that? Having narrower tires in the back will compromise traction, and having wider tires in the front will risk rubbing and possibly compromise steering. Unless you're just doing it because of a good package price, I don't see the point.

Well, it was just a though that if all 4 tires are the same, its easier to just carry a same size spare tire in the trunk ?
Is it a safe assumption that most of you guys are running staggered ?
If so, what size rims & size tires if to stay with the 18" mark ?

If you're just doing this for the sake of your spare, then you're better off just using a mismatched spare. Use the standard staggered setup, and if you ever get a flat, you can put on a mismatched spare on a temporary basis, until your regular tire is repaired/replaced.

Hell, you could even just use a donut, just like most cars use... a tiny little spare tire that won't take up too much trunk space, and although it's not a good idea to run it long-term, you just use it in case you get a flat.

To answer your other question, almost everybody here is running a staggered setup.

Square setup will significantly reduce the inherent understeer in the 135i. The point on reducing the rear tire size is a valid point. I'm opting for 235/40 and 245/35 to try and minimize the understeer without sacrificing rear end traction.
