My New 135i!

I just picked her up at the Performance Center on Monday. Can't wait for the break-in period to be over as I'm trying to stick to the no full throttle start/no RPMs over 4,500 rule. This will be a test of my patience.

Mineral Grey
Black Leather
M Sport
Tech Pack
HK Sound

I'm really loving this Mineral Grey color. It wasn't available when I got my 128.

Is "mineral gray" the same as the old sparking graphite on the pre2008 BMWs? Looks pretty similar in that pic.

Grats.

As a new mineral grey owner myself, congrats! Love the color and pictures will never quite do it justice or capture how it looks in person.

AJx - I almost got SGM on my 2008 and can tell you while it's about the same darkness, the SGM looked very purple in person and was a complicated combo of like red and blue, something like that. Mineral grey is a true dark charcoal. After seeing SGM in person, I didn't like it and got titanium silver instead, whereas the mineral grey is exactly what I wanted all along.

Sparkling graphite was a tad darker. Also it came on the 08 1 series. But that's it. Car looks great OP

I had a 330ci in Sparkling Graphite Metallic... and I loved it. Now granted, I wish it had a little less "purple" in it (sparkling graphite seemed to really change from time to time, depending on the lighting)... but if that mineral gray eliminates the purple effect, then it may be the best color yet imo.

I constantly got compliments on my E46 in sparkling graphite... so it grew on me pretty quickly, I must admit

Oh yeah, and the first thing to do... get rid of that long ugly antenna and get the sport model Don't know why new convertibles don't use the gps fin on the trunk.

Looks great!

I don't know if you guys see the Mineral Gray the same way I do, but it appears to me (in person) to have blue flakes in the paint. Love the color!

6sp manual. Not to incite a riot, but I think that is the only way to go in a small sports car.

Thanks for all the congrats!

Newb here, first post.

Nice buy OP! Congrats

I am in the market as well but not looking to buy new. Im looking at an N54 based 2010. Preferably with the 6MT and sport package.

Looking to finally move up and out of my 4yr old 2009 Cobalt SS Turbo. Shes heavily modded making 380whp and 421wtq right now. Which is overkill for a FWD car but still very fun to drive. From what I hear the N54 can make that power with JB4 and boltons so Im hoping to move up soon

Sorry for the thread jack! Again, congrats on your buy OP, love the color!

I'm really loving this Mineral Grey color. It wasn't available when I got my 128.
How was the performance center delivery? I wanted to do it but I couldn't fit it around my work schedule.

The Performance Center delivery was awesome. It really is the coolest way to take delivery of a car. I got to do a hot lap with Donnie in an M3 and let's just say I'm glad it was before lunch. It was only me and one other couple there on Monday so we got lots of personal attention. It was a great day!
