No, it's a direct bolt on utilizing the stock diagonal strut brace mount location and one of the strut mount studs on each side. You don't even remove the diagonal strut braces, this just bolts on right over the top of them. Here's an image from the ECS web site:

Doesn't clear the 135i air box without rubbing from what I understand, though a few 135i owners on this forum have installed it anyway.

It's really only made and marketed by BMW for the NA powered E8x and E9x chassis.

Bumped for new lower price. $600.00 shipped to the CONUS. If I don't respond right away it's because there's no WIFI on the plane. Landing at 16:45 Pacific time. The price won't get any lower, just bumped every now and then.
