Rarely.
Dont see a need to push the car to 7000 rpm when my top HP is at 5000 rpm

Ive had the car since October and never bounced it off the limiter, been wanting to hear how it'll sound I usually shift right after 6k since I feel like the power drops off soon after so I've never been close to the actual redline or bouncing the limiter

Honestly I shift at 6k rpms. Not much of a point to wind it out.

IDK about redline because, even in a DCT, my past manual ownership experience has me driving by feel, especially when I push the car, instead of staring at the tachometer but I run it up there just about everyday. The few glances I get have me just over 6K RPM's when pushing the car. That's due to what most here have said already...not much to be had after that, but does love to spin all the way up there.

I take it to redline anytime i do WOT runs. but i have a n52 so it actually makes peak power at 6600 and carries it to redline. With a stock turbo n54/n55 i wouldn't bother going passed 6k RPM(esp n55).

Dang that's disappointing, was hoping to hear some badass bouncing and popping when I really launch the car spinning through first gear. But at the same time I'm relieved now I don't need to purposely try to bounce it off the limiter lol.

Closer to my neighborhood on the way home, I drive through an underpass, which is a short tunnel. Since I have the BMW Performance Exhaust, I floor it just about every chance I get and hit somewhere between 5 and 5.5K in 2nd gear. The roar and wail is addictive and until the city decides to close off that underpass and reroute the traffic, the 135 is going to howl and stretch its legs everyday. The good news is that it's on my way home when the engine and oil are both hot.

Rarely ever rev mine past 6k.. Maybe 6500 max now with the pure. Every once in a while ill just let it go all the way and shift on its own, but it's pointless. Sounds pretty though

Considering that the worst thing you can do is zing a cold engine up to redline...and my commutes do not generally result in a truly warm engine...I hardly redline ever.
