Just bought my new toy for the track :)

For those of you that don't know, this is a Legends Car. WTF is that?.... Here are the basics:

weight: 1100 lbs.
hp: 180 hp
engine: 1250cc Motocycle engine
drivetrain: 5 speed sequential gearbox (just like a motorcycle)

Pretty much one of the most fun things I have ever driven (and I have a few different platforms under my belt).

Putting some work into it. I'll post more pix as it comes. Pulled the engine yesterday.

Picking it up from the seller in Kingman

Time to clean it up!

Getting there!

Oh, for those interested... here is a quick video from one of my races back in 2010 when I rented a car...

Very nice! I've always loved those Legends cars. Always thought they'd be a fun/cheap track car to pick up. Post up more vids/pics as you clean it up! What kind of racing are you planning/wanting to do with it?

I will be racing here in NV in the silver state classic (road course like the video I added) and at the bullring (oval).

Also, if my 1er can handle it, I may get a small trailer for it and tow it to Socal and AZ for the NASA performance touring race class.

These cars are so awesome and relatively cheap to race. My brother has been in one for a few years now. He qualified 1st in the world finals. Here's one of his championship races (and amazing 10 laps on board). He is a phenomenal driver:

Very nice to hear you're going to do road courses with it. Sadly I don't think you'll be able to tow it with the 135. The motor certainly has the power with no issues, but getting a tow hitch on there thats strong enough may be an issue. Hopefully i'm wrong thought

thanks for the info. I know the 1 will only take a class 1 hitch which has a capacity of up to 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight. So... I'm thinking I'll be set I towed my seadoo with my mazda and had zero issues. The legends car is just about 300 more lbs and the 1 has about twice the mazdas hp haha.. Call me crazy but it should work!

and i could use my track tire hauler again!! haha

that looks like a lot of fun. power to weight is pretty good so it should be plenty fast. does your race schedule include any east coast events? I am jealous you guys out in west and south are out on the track already while we are shivering out here. NOT fair

Speak for yourself there Kori if you're feeling inadequate...few things more impressive than a woman with a welder that knows how to use it!

I didn't say I wasn't impressed Chris! not sure how you got that impression. another possible way to put this is like a bunch of guys talking about who's got the biggest gun while the girl brings home and butchers the game. does that make better sense amigo?
