COBB actualized FW of Accessport for new BMW 1M firmware

I visited my authorised BMW dealer during august and they reflashed my car completely to update firmware. Reprogramming of my car was required due to other reasons. I unpaired my AP before that operation. But then I was not able install my AP back and load my map. AP only says that new FW has been detected and I should contact support. It shows out that BMW upgraded FW a little bit more. New version is signed as 0044CC0IKM0SIME01.

COBB engineurs then worked several weeks on their firmware for Accessport. Finaly they publish new beta release (ver. no. 1.6.7.1-7049) and everything now works fine. I can use Stg2+FMIC LT Aggressive IKC0S 1M again

That's strange. I just had my car in for the battery wire recall. I asked them if there were any updates they needed to make for firmware or anything else outstanding and they said no. I don't have software on the car but I really don't like it when things are changed without my knowledge/consent. I went through the 13 page breakdown and it didn't look like they made any firmware updates.

As far as I recall I've never heard anyone else mention this update. Wonder why they updated your car?

I wonder what the new firmware addresses. Does Cobb have any feedback? Are they able to look at the differences in the two firmware versions?

I know right. I don't know why they printed out so many pages to do the battery cable fix, check the brake pads and change the oil. That's what it was though, 13 dam pages. I'm half convinced they do that so the average customer will just give up looking through it all. Not I though. I'm pretty sure the lady at the cashiers counter wasn't annoyed, rather impressed with my persistence in reviewing a zero cost work order

My 1M was originally IKCOS, but during a service visit I had the dealer update the firmware as well. It's now IKMOS. They claimed I was two updates behind.

Hello,
my car had IKBOS and now has IKMOS. I have noticed a big change in the exhaust sound. Wear DP + Akrapovic Slip On, and the software IKBOS in gear changes the exhaust emitted a blast, and now with the new software does not. Anyone know what the differences between the two softwares?

Hey! which tuner are you using with your COBB? i'm currently running on Evolve but would like to explore other options..
