This is a manifold...... 2.5k plus is too much imo. Unless it's made of carbon fiber and diamonds, lined with gold foil , it's just too much. Interested to see if it makes any power gains though.

This is including full manifold short charge pipe for the new plenum with filter and anodizing finish of choice along with whatever bov flange you prefer

I can get back to you with exact specs but from my comparison they are a good half inch to inch longer

Check prices on 2j and rb etc

Completely normal

Also do a search for 'carbonfiber intake manifold' and they're like 4k+

Got a question that was on e90 as well

Why not use

http://www.rossmachineracing.com/ovaltube.html

For the runners? Less turbulence from the change

The stock runner cross section is probably fairly limited in terms of power gains. It's not like they're not going to have a smooth transition piece. If they butted a circular tube right to the oval port it would perform worse than stock. They're not going to do that...

This manifold would probably pair well with some intake runner work. Open up and reshape the bowl alittle. Works on just about every other cylinder head to improve flow and fuel atomization. It would be interesting to see how something like increasing intake runner volume with this manifold and the Vanos/VVT system working together; how much power you could potentially gain from improved intake flow (CFM) and volume.

I understand how those seem like the better choice since it retains same stock runner shape but trust me the transition on this is flawless so smooth I was very impressed with work , and plus with the transition it opens them up a little

Runner length is approx. 1.5" longer than the factory manifold and about 20% larger diameter. Plenum volume will also increase as well

@anttmann any particular reason for routing the turbo inlets to one central filter like that? it looks cool so if it's that simple, by all means

Brake booster line hookup appears to still be there, but disconnected in the pictures he took.

Any concerns with airflow to the filter?

LOOKS GREAT! Cant wait to see the finals.

Watching this closely!

Two things for me, 1st the power increase, 20-30hp is great if you're at the end of the spectrum for mods and still want to squeeze more out! I think all those that think $2.5k is too much for 20hp should go speak to some NA power hunters and see what they pay per hp...

2nd I think the induction noise this is going to make is fantastic. I remember on my last turbo car, switching the entire intake system to aluminum made it sound awesome. I would expect the same effect here.

3rd, sorry had to slip one more in. 1 thing I have noticed coming from other car scenes is that the engine bay of the n54 is ugly.. plain and simple. At least this makes it look good! Not that would be a primary purchase reason, but its nice!

Good job, keep the updates coming, definitely excited to see power changes.

Sweet! Exactly along the lines of what I would want for my 6266.
