Here's what comes in the box. E82 LED Angel Eyes
Full install, 2pm cloudy. Compare, Sunny halfway in garage. Overall high quality kit. The ballast are small easily fits in headlight cover. I used small pieces of velcro and stuck ballast on kidney grill side of headlight cover, far away from adaptive headlight moving parts.

Love mine too! Was able to get it installed in about 30 minutes! I removed the evap black balls on the passenger side and had more room to work, and didn't have to remove the headlight cover all the way on that side, so i was able to reinstall it pretty easy. Love these BMS 4 LED bulbs, so much better than the ones I had in there before!

Happy customer here.
Lights showed up pretty quickly, just took me a while to get on them. I'm pretty anal retentive, I took the headlight covers off (the black ones near the engine) and found a spot for the ballasts to sit in. Tested to make sure it'd go back together and they did. Next drilled some small holes in the cover and ran zip ties to hold the ballasts in place. Little bit of black RTV on the inside to keep things water tight, let dry, and installed. Sounds ghetto, but the ballasts aren't going anywhere. Small black zip-ties (with the connection inside the light not outside) are tough to see, and I also have a pair of new OEM covers for reversing this mod if ever needed. As for the LED's, they look great! Nice and white and seem bright. Stock was fine but this is definitely more attractive. No error codes or anything. Glad I went for it. Thanks Mike! |

Using the kidney grills as a center point, I velcrowed them to the bottom, inner sides of the headlight housing covers. Keeping them away from the movable adaptive headlight parts.

would consider if the balast is a pure resistor (dissipative). That you could confirm if Voltage to the resitor is voltage to the LED unit. Can u confirm that the voltage to the LED bulb is ~12or13.8or14.4 (depending on engine status).

Thx for looking into this, not meant to be this cryptic: Would like to run them without ballasts (after coding the nannies to silence)
