I've used regular wax quite a few times, but don't expect it to perform nearly as well as Wheel Wax - that stuff is incredible!

I used to use regular wax on the wheels. I got some Wheel Wax and it does a great job at keeping them cleaner and easier to clean. BIG difference!

No doubt about it. The heat not only breaks it down giving it a slightly yellowed cracked appearance but it's hell on earth to remove. I'm sure it varies by product but generally it's a risk.

Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant rocks too. Just did my wheels and the dust practically sprays right off.
